Organizational Announcement
This website was formerly operated by the Tsoknyi Humanitarian Foundation.Â
We are happy to announce the merger of Tsoknyi Humanitarian Foundation into the Pundarika Foundation U.S. on January 1, 2024. This change will help both of Tsokyni Rinpoche’s U.S.-based organizations to work as one to fulfill Rinpoche’s heart’s wish to support the Tsoknyi Nuns and his teaching activities. Thank you for your patience as we manage this transformation. For more information on the merger, including questions about donations, please see this page.Â
The new combined organization will operate under the charter of Pundarika Foundation U.S. (EIN 84-1295990) which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
All of the Board members from Tsoknyi Humanitarian Foundation have joined the Board of Pundarika Foundation and will continue their work to support Tsoknyi Rinpoche and his humanitarian activities.Â
Tsoknyi Rinpoche's Vision for the Nuns

Our Mission
The Pundarika Foundation strives to embody Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s vision for inner and outer peace, grounded in love and insight.Â
In order to do this, we:
- Preserve and spread the Buddha dharma through the teachings and lineage of Tsoknyi Rinpoche
- Support the health, education, and spiritual practice of the Tsoknyi Nuns for generations to come
- Sustain Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s humanitarian work, uplifting those in need
- Inspire a global community to realize Rinpoche’s vision for a kinder, more compassionate world
