The nuns have been spending some time thinking about environmental issues and ecology. To facilitate their understanding, the nuns from Grades 6-8 at Tsoknyi Gechak School went on a nature walk around the Chobhar area. They collected various natural objects to use for their science and arts & crafts activities.
They also visit the local Kirtipur Municipality Ward office and interviewed some of the staff about their jobs and how they are working to preserve natural resources in the area.
These field trips were facilitated and chaperoned by their teachers: Ms. Sunita, Ms. Laxmi Karki and Ms. Reena.
