In the weeks surrounding Losar, Tsoknyi Rinpoche and the nuns at Tsoknyi Gechak Ling and Tsoknyi Gargon Ling gathered in practice to close out the past year and establish auspicious conditions for the year ahead.

Alongside these rituals, the period was also marked by moments of celebration shared with the wider sangha. These images offer a glimpse into the rhythm of practice and celebration during this Losar.

Before Losar, the nuns came together for Gutor Puja—chanting, offerings, and prayers to clear obstacles for the year ahead.

Elaborate tormas, made from barley flour and butter, were prepared as offerings. The puja concluded with the symbolic release of misfortune, welcoming the new year with fresh conditions for practice.

At Tsoknyi Gechak Ling, the nuns gathered for the annual Thukdrub Yangnying Düpa drubchen, a multi-day intensive practice from the Guru Rinpoche treasure cycle revealed by Ratna Lingpa.

Through continuous mantra recitation, meditation, offerings, and sacred music, the practice was dedicated to all.

At Tsoknyi Gechak Ling, Losar celebrations included traditional dances performed by students from the Boudha Youth Hostel, as well as games and a raffle organized by the nuns.

Rinpoche, Chimey-la, and their daughters, Semo-la and Lhabu-la, joined members of the international community for these gatherings.

Thank you to everyone who took part in these Losar practices and celebrations. We are grateful for your presence and participation. As the year unfolds, may steadiness and compassion guide the months ahead.
