Tsoknyi Gechak School began Phase 2 of the Peer Counseling program that began last year with a refresher course at Ankur Counseling and Training Center in the nearby town of Lalitpur.
There are currently 10 nuns who are facilitating Peer Counseling with their fellow nuns. Each Peer Counselor has a support group which meets every other Sunday evening. The Peer Counselors are trained and supervised by an expert psychologist from Ankur Counseling who meets with them once or twice a month throughout the school year.
What a wonderful addition to the nuns education and training.
