Arts education is alive at Tsoknyi Gechak School. Students enjoy learning how to paint thangkas, a classical Tibetan Buddhist painting technique which typically displays images of Buddhist deities and mandalas. Thangka paintings are usually very intricate and detailed and contain images which are laid out on a geometric grids (so there’s Math too). A complete thangka usually take weeks and even months for artists to complete and students train for years. We look forward to seeing their creations!
